Theme Sketchbook
I visited an artist friend's country home and immediately fell in love with her heritage house, surrounded by a beautiful flower garden, workshops, vineyard, greenhouse, lily pond and artist studio. What heaven! I asked permission to do a photo shoot with the intention of creating a sketchbook as a tribute to my friend's home. The challenge was to create from over a hundred photos 24 paintings that would best depict the character, charm and beauty of this home. For this project I used a 5 1/2" x 8" watercolour sketchbook. Here is a sample:

Hi Sharon. Leslie sent me your blog site. I must say I really love your work. And I'm so impressed by the amount of painting you're doing. You've inspired me to start a sketch book - something I've been meaning to do for a long time.
